Holidays with the Utley's

The annual Utley family Christmas party was held at Aaron & Erika's ward meeting house this year and was a success. Santa happened to stop by for a visit and to pass out gifts to the kids, the kids are always excited to see Santa just before Christmas. We have selected a few photos of that eventful night along with pictures of Christmas day at the Utley's

Holidays with the Knights

Our annual Christmas gathering with the Knights that is on Christmas eve was once again held at Darven & Crystals lavish surroundings. There were a few members of the family that were not in attendance but all that were there enjoyed themselves. Here are a selection of photos

A visit from North Carolina

My baby sister Nikki came to visit for a few days from Davidson North Carolina. We are always happy to see her and wish she would make her visits permanent. Maybe someday she and her husband Greg will find their way back to Utah. Here are a few pics of her with mom and dad.

Sleep over

We had the opportunity to watch Reese & Charley last night and have a sleep over. Connie was so excited she gave the girls Christmas presents to open and they LOVED them.

Reese with some of her new My Little Pony's

Charley fell in love with her new doll and she plays a good mother.

She'll do great when she gets a new brother or sister.

The girls just love their aunt Connie

Charley was all over the bed, on her back, on her side, turned around, upside down, sideways, under the sheets, outside the sheets, then she would talk in her sleep and at 3:30am her diaper exploded and she woke up crying.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We have put the finishing touches on the Christmas decor for this year. Connie was so excited to get the Gorham Family figurings (it must remind her of her childhood).

Another angle with the garlin.

We had a visitor stop by last Monday after a long night of family visits and he looked worn out. (wink wink)

This morning I checked on the fish in the pond and this is what I found.

Family "Knight" Nite

This is our own little Thanksgiving Dinner

Winter Wonderland

For the last few days we have been warned about a snow storm that would deliver a significant amount of snow... and it came!

Connie all excited about the snow fall last evening.

This morning it was still snowing.

Some of the patio furniture is going to have rough it this winter and the pond's fountain is still splashing away. The fish are hanging in there.

I couldn't resist a dip in the hot tub to soothe my achy muscles

Many trees are at the brink of breaking with the heavy wet snow.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving day was spent with the Knight's this year and Darven and Crystal were gracious enough to host the dinner at their home (plus they are the only one's with a pool table). The dinner was wonderful, even the yams which is Darven's secret recipe from Ruth's Chris Steak house. We had a fun time watching football, playing pool, and Alexis' favorite Nintendo Wii (I gotta get one of these Wii's). Darven's parents joined us and Ursula did not as she wasn't feeling well, so, dad came by himself. It was great to introduce the beverage Pepsi to a CocaCola home.

A lot of helping hands in the Kitchen.

Some of us hanging out watching Football

Hardly a pool shark, I do have the "scratch" thing down pretty good.

Gingerbread Houses

Last evening we made Gingerbread houses with Aaron, Erika, Reese and Charley. What a blast. Charley had more candy in her mouth then on the house. Reese made a wonderful house with help from her daddy. Erika was anal about her house and is probably still working on it, and as for Connie and me, ours was just a splash of all kinds of candy.

Two gum drops on the house, one in the mouth.

This is how far 35 minutes of detailed work will getcha. Check back in mid December for an update on the progress of her house.

Reese knows what she is doing (with a little help from Aaron)
