Anniversary Present

This year for our anniversary we purchased a canopy and propane firepit for our backyard patio, then Connie went to visit her sister Kelly in Washington for a few days and hasn't seen the assembled patio ensemble, she will see it for the first time here on the blog. She is very excited to roast marshmallows over the open flame. It does look nice but it is so cold outside I have no desire to sit there as we received more then 2" of snow this morning.

New Innovation for us

This might look like just another sign project for Nite Signs and indeed it is although we used for the first time new technology in illuminating the sign which we are excited about. Most signs of this type use neon tubing for illumination but we have chosen to use the latest in LED diode technology which is very low voltage and energy consumption with a rated life of about 100,000 hours which is more then 11 years. I think it looks awesome!

Jesse helping Steve (our crane guy) set the pattern and sign letters.

The completed project.

Very nice night time shots, it look better in person.

First Day of Spring

The first day of spring is relevant for 2 reasons for us. 1.) it's the awakening and life for many plants and foliage in our yard. 2.) it's our 27th wedding anniversary.... yippeeeee. We took the day off of work and yet we awoke to SNOW, but the sun did make it's way out and in the warmth of the day it all melted. We spent some of the day shopping and reminiscing about life. I am truly blessed to be married to such a beautiful woman.

A wonderful time

We enjoy our time with Reese & Charley from sitting in the hot tub, playing dress-ups, watching movies, reading books and riding their horse Sevin.

Another fun night with Reese & Charley

Riding Sevin

Reese and Charley love getting rides from the ole horse "Sevin". He grunts and moans and is worn out fast especially when.... take a look!

A Beautiful Day in the Canyons

Today the weather was so nice that I took part of the day off and went for a photo shoot to a favorite spot near Little Cottonwood Canyon but it was still closed for the season so I took the opportunity to drive to the top of the canyon and this is what I saw!

Splish Spash!!

Last night the young Utley's came out to sit in the hot tub. We sure have fun with Reese and Charley although I sense our visits will come to an abrupt end when Bama and Bampa come home from their mission so we must soak it all in now. Reese is a silly aquatics girl and Charley is just beginning to figure it out. We tried to make snow angels but the snow was just too hard but still just as cold.

We could never get the water hot enough for Erika so she shivered at 101 degrees. Don't let the smiles fool ya.

Aunt Connie always has a something new for the girls. She keeps the Dollars stores in business

Uncle Neal is so funny
