A Tribute to our Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley

"The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles unitedly expresses its heartfelt love and admiration for President Gordon B. Hinckley and the singular life of service he lived. He was our prophet, our leader, our brother and our friend. We feel a deep, personal loss at his passing." "We will miss his wit and his wisdom, his leadership and his love. However, we cannot but rejoice in his reunion with his beloved Marjorie, with is parents and other family members who have gone before, and with the prophets of God, both ancient and modern, among whose eternal ranks he now stands. As the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles we echo the voice of the Master, 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant. ... Enter into the joy of thy Lord.'"

Charley in motion

A short time ago as I was playing with my camera I caught these pictures of the Reese and Charley playing the digital piano. Charley is a hoot, if only you could have heard them singing. Thanks goes to my buddy Erika for showing me how to do a slide show.

Winter Campout

This past weekend we took the Scouts (Priests) on our annual winter campout. Most people know that I am a avid winter sportsman and love to be in the snow and cold. COULD I BE MORE SARCASTIC!! When we arrived at our campout destination we discovered that our snow cave was already constructed (hmm fancy that) although we did have to dig about 3 feet of snow away from the entrance to the cave. Most snow caves are heated with a candle to build an ice barrier, we used alternative fuel sources to stay warm. Dinner was excellent as someone had killed a fatted calf (thanks sam's club) and we had steak for dinner sizzling over hot coals (again heated with alternative fuel). We all slept very good in the snow cave as our alternative fuel kept the cave around 72 degrees. Our snow cave was unique in that it had indoor plumbing, so no prancing through the snow at 2am in boots and long johns. We all had a good time and were spiritually motivated.

There was at least 3 feet of new snow

Just a great view

We did have some great spiritual moments

The weekend was great but Monday brought a new batch of snow

I'm still sore after running the snowblower, man i'm getting old.

Some of my favorites

Our lives must be boring as there is not much news from the Knight household, so as to keep something going on the blog i've posted a few funnies that i've collected throughout the years.

My all time favorite
