Jesse went skiing the other day and took Mike Utley with him. The first time he has been in water for more than 2 years. It won't take long before he's doing flips. Welcome home Mike!

Labor Day Splash

We were invited to a BBQ and swim at Darven & Crystals place today. Alexis spends so much time in their new pool that she is almost like a fish.

Priceless Conversation

The other day Connie and I were at the car dealership where they were serving free popcorn and hot dogs. Connie was in the mood for a hot dog and went up to the table where a young boy about 8 was standing there in his oversized apron. Connie asked him if he did this ever Saturday, his responds was "no, but if business is good I might". She then asked if he takes tips and his reply was "no, i'm selling free hot dogs". She is still laughing about that cute experience.

ROAD TRIP!!!

We took a road trip to Washington to visit Connie's brother Aaron and his cute family in Gig Harbor. What a beautiful place and we had a great visit. We consider the young Utley's part of our family and miss them being so far away.

A visit to North Carolina

Jesse and I went to North Carolina to visit with my sister Nikki and her husband Greg and to tour Jesse's mission area. We had a blast visiting with Nikki & Greg. Greg is CFO for Stewart Haas Racing and introduced us to NASCAR in a way that opened our eyes... WOW!!! It is a very beautiful area, Nikki & Greg have a awesome home and we thank them for letting us hang out with them for a few days.



We took a tour of the Biltmore Mansion Estate, a home that has 250 rooms. They filmed the movie Richie Rich there.



Greg gave us a personal tour of various racing teams in the area. I've gained a new respect for how intense, precise and detailed this sport is... thanks Greg.

We went to Asheville, one of Jesse's mission areas to visit some people and then took a scenic ride.

It's Finally Spring

Over the past weekend Connie and I went to the cabin. It's about time spring has sprung. The wildlife was abundant with moose, deer, a rabbit and squirrels not to mention the humming birds. The weather was perfect for a spring time visit. The river was very high, flooding some of the low lying areas but what a beautiful couple of days.

A New Chapter

The first of May Connie and I helped her brother Aaron and his cute little family move to Washington. This was a good test for me as I have never taken more than a few days off work for the last 15 years and now Jesse gets his turn at running the show while I am gone. Well, now that i'm back we are still in business, it's all good. The young Utley's moved to Gig Harbor Washington, it sure is a beautiful place and we had a great time while there. We will miss them more than they know.
