My Shed is here
I can't believe I get so excited about our new shed. Maybe because I didn't have to build it, install or paint it.

Gifts from the past
The Knight family is well imbedded in the early history of the Church of which we are proud of, but the Sperry family (my Father's Mother's side) seems to have more family documentation, especially of the early settlement and rise of the Manti area. We are happy to be the custodians of many of these documents. Here are some of the documents and certificates from the Sperry family - priceless

Treasures from a Trunk
Remember in the movies where an old trunk is found and when opened a treasure awaits the discoverer? We have such a trunk and is filled with the treasures of William Harrison Sperry captured in his hobby of photography from the late 1800's. Many of the photos are of the Miles Harrison Sperry family which is my great great great grandfather who settled in the Manti area at the request of Brigham Young. Most of what is in the trunk are glass negatives probably more the 100 of them. (I wish I still had my dark room equipment) There are many pictures which he developed. Here are a few.

Watching the Girls
This past week we had the opportunity to watch Reese and Charley. I don't remember Jenny and Jesse at that age wearing me out so fast. Kudos to Connie for keeping up with them she was a trooper.
A SPLASH in the Hot Tub
The kids wore me out so fast that I had to rest for 15 more minutes after they got out.

Baking Halloween Cookies.
I think Reese was on a sugar high bouncing off the walls somewhere.

They can't come to Aunt Connie's house without playing dress-ups. It's almost a tradition.

Charley in a wig. She can wear the wig okay but when uncle Neal puts the wig on she "wigs" out.

I think they are ready to go shopping.

We really did have a great time watching the girls and Aaron and Erika had a fun time doing their thing. We are looking forward to that little brother for Reese and Charley.

Greg Olsen's painting of Alexis "Hand in Hand"
Our niece Alexis, Crystal & Darven's daughter, had a special opportunity to be painted by the well known artist Greg Olsen. (www.gregolsenart.com under inspirational). The painting is currently at press. I asked Alexis if she was holding Jesus' hand and she said "NO, it was Mike's hand". (the gentleman who posed as Jesus). funny.
